Troubleshooting & How-To Guide

🔌 POWER & ELECTRICAL

Q: The outlets aren't working.
✔ Check if the trailer is connected to shore power or generator.
✔ Try resetting the GFCI outlet (usually located in kitchen or bathroom).
✔ Check the circuit breakers under the panel inside the trailer.

Q: The battery seems dead.
✔ Plug into shore power or start generator to recharge.
✔ Turn off non-essential lights/appliances.
✔ Use propane for fridge/heater to save battery.

💡 LIGHTING

Q: The interior lights won't turn on.
✔ Check the main battery disconnect switch near the entrance.
✔ Flip the wall switches near each light or ceiling fixture.
✔ Confirm battery is charged (see above).

🔥 PROPANE & APPLIANCES

Q: The stove or heater won’t ignite.
✔ Ensure propane is turned ON at the tank.
✔ Wait a few seconds after turning the knob to ignite.
✔ Try manually lighting the stove with a lighter if igniter isn’t working.

Q: The fridge isn’t cooling.
✔ Ensure fridge is set to AUTO or GAS mode.
✔ Check propane supply.
✔ Allow 4–6 hours to fully cool after starting.

🚽 WATER & PLUMBING

Q: No water coming out of the faucet.
✔ Turn on the water pump if not connected to city water.
✔ Ensure freshwater tank has water.
✔ Check all faucet handles are fully open.

Q: Toilet won't flush.
✔ Press the foot pedal all the way down.
✔ Make sure the black water tank isn’t full.

❄️ A/C & HEATING

Q: A/C isn't blowing cold air.
✔ Must be plugged into shore power or using generator.
✔ Adjust thermostat settings.
✔ Keep windows & doors closed while running.

Q: Furnace isn’t heating.
✔ Confirm propane is turned on.
✔ Thermostat must be set to “HEAT” and above current temp.
✔ May take a minute to ignite.

🛠 COMMON ISSUES

Q: Slide-out won’t move.
✔ Ensure trailer is level & battery is charged.
✔ Check for obstructions outside.
✔ Control panel is usually near the entry door.

Q: Awning won’t retract.
✔ Make sure power is on and try the switch again.
✔ If stuck, do not force manually – call us for assistance.

🧼 HOLDING TANKS

  • Fresh Water (White Tank): Supplies sinks & shower

  • Gray Water (Gray Tank): Holds used water from sinks/shower

  • Black Water (Black Tank): Holds waste from the toilet

Note: Please empty tanks before return if staying multiple days. We provide instructions or handle for a fee.

🔌 POWER & ELECTRICAL

Q: Nothing turns on / No power inside.
✔ Make sure the main battery disconnect is turned ON (usually near the entry door).
✔ Check if the RV is plugged into shore power, or start the onboard generator.
✔ Confirm circuit breakers and 12V fuses (located in the fuse panel) are not tripped or blown.

Q: Generator won’t start.
✔ Ensure there is at least 1/4 tank of fuel (generator won’t run below this).
✔ Try the start button inside or on the generator itself.
✔ Hold for a few seconds to prime before releasing.

💡 LIGHTING

Q: Interior lights not working.
✔ Flip the main interior light switch near the door.
✔ Ensure battery power is ON.
✔ Some individual lights have their own toggle buttons.

🔥 PROPANE & APPLIANCES

Q: The stove or furnace won’t ignite.
✔ Confirm propane tank is turned ON.
✔ Some systems take a few seconds to ignite—be patient.
✔ If stove doesn’t click, try using a lighter carefully.

Q: Fridge not cooling.
✔ Confirm it’s set to AUTO or LP (propane).
✔ Fridge will not work on electric unless plugged into shore power.
✔ Allow 4–6 hours to fully cool.

🚽 WATER & PLUMBING

Q: No water from faucets.
✔ Turn ON the water pump (usually a switch near kitchen or bathroom).
✔ Ensure freshwater tank isn’t empty.
✔ If connected to city water, pump is not required.

Q: Toilet not flushing.
✔ Press foot lever fully.
✔ Make sure black tank isn’t full.
✔ Add a bit of water to the bowl if it’s dry.

❄️ A/C & HEATING

Q: A/C not working.
✔ Requires shore power or generator running.
✔ Set thermostat to COOL and lower temperature.
✔ Keep all windows/doors shut.

Q: Furnace not turning on.
✔ Ensure propane is ON.
✔ Set thermostat to HEAT and raise the temp above room level.
✔ It may take 30–60 seconds to ignite.

🛠 COMMON ISSUES

Q: Slide-out won’t move.
✔ Confirm ignition is ON and parking brake is set.
✔ Check battery level.
✔ Look for control switch near entry area.

Q: Awning stuck or not retracting.
✔ Check for obstructions like branches.
✔ Hold button down for a few seconds.
✔ Do not attempt to force manually – contact us for help.

🧼 HOLDING TANKS

  • Fresh Water (White Tank) – Used for drinking/showers/sinks

  • Gray Water (Gray Tank) – Used water from sinks & shower

  • Black Water (Black Tank) – Toilet waste

Tip: Empty tanks at RV dump stations as needed. We’ll handle this for a fee if requested.

🧭 DRIVING TIPS

  • Always ensure slide-out and awning are fully retracted before driving.

  • Use side cameras and backup monitor when reversing.

  • Watch clearance (height ~11'5") at drive-thrus, bridges, and trees.
